Around 1877, the design and construction of the complex known today as Bodegas López de Heredia began, the oldest winery in Haro and one of the first three in the Rioja region. Today, the winery has over 100 hectares of plantations.
The Tondonia vineyard is located on the right bank of the Ebro River, where the most typical Rioja wines are grown. The soils are alluvial and calcareous, the height of the plantations is between 438 and 489 meters.

• Vinification: Hand-picked. Fermentation in small wooden barrels, without temperature control and without malolactic fermentation
• Aging: 6 years in Bordeaux oak barrels
• Color: red with amber hues
• Serving temperature: 18-20ºC
• Aroma: hints of vanilla and dried fruits
• Taste: Rich, very dry, balanced and developed taste with firm tannins.
