The Maris line is back with a brand new cup 'lining'. Together with prominent mineralogists, a new silicate-based material similar to sea foam has been developed, after the final cessation of its supply in 2023. The classic merschaum insert has been replaced by a resistant silicate element that protects the briar from heat, ensures excellent moisture absorption, has no aroma and taste and is completely safe for the human body. The polished reddish-brown cup with a deep luster stands out against the white insert and mouthpiece, which elegantly completes this masterpiece.
Wawen uses a light gray dot that he places on the mouthpiece of the pipe to indicate the extremely high quality of the briar used to make it.
