Description
The history of Savinelli begins in 1876 in Milan, Italy. Achille Savinelli Sr. opened one of the world’s first tobacco shops. To this day, passionate smokers still meet in the shop to share their love for his brilliant pipes. Savinelli remains a family business as the shop and the brand are passed down through the generations. Their success is a combination of innovation and family tradition. Their excellent reputation is also due to the fact that Italy grows the best quality briar in the world.
The limited edition Ottagono series presents classic Italian shapes that Savinelli no longer produces, but refracted through the prism of geometry.
Meaning “octagon”, the line includes pipes with a number of common characteristics, the most distinctive of which are the striking geometric elements – an octagonal bowl and a hexagonal mouthpiece. The pipes in the series are entirely handmade, requiring incredible craftsmanship and skill to preserve the clear shape of the bowl during sandblasting. The color scheme is based on charcoal black and fiery orange, symbolizing the revival of these classic Savinelli models, but with a renewed design. This special limited edition has only 600 pieces worldwide, with each pipe individually numbered.
