Description
With roots dating back to 1848, Vauen is Germany's longest-standing pipe manufacturer. It owes its stunning success to guaranteed quality and a philosophy of balance between tradition and an adventurous spirit. Their innovative ideas create a "passion that brings people together"! The company is the creator of the activated carbon paper filter, which is quickly becoming a key feature of over 90% of pipes manufactured today.
For the Kira line, the so-called contrast coloring process was used. Briara is repeatedly polished and alternately colored in dark and light. The result is a silky-smooth, high-contrast look in amber and walnut hues. The ring is composed of three single elements - a polished bronze band surrounded by rings in a silver hue. This shape is free standing thanks to the flat bottom of the cup. The name comes from Sanskrit and means "ray of light", and this pipe certainly shines just like the sun's rays in the clear autumn sky.
Wawen uses a light gray dot that he places on the mouthpiece of the pipe to signify the extremely high quality of the briar used to make it.
