The Patina line surprises with the original combination of Siberian larch and briar. The two types of wood placed side by side complement each other perfectly to offer you an organic and stronger pipe. Larch is used in the construction of boats and the cladding of outdoor spaces, due to its high resistance to atmospheric influences. The unique decorative texture that acquires a natural patina over time makes it the preferred material and inspiration for the Vauen line. The outer part of the cup is made of larch heartwood and has been subjected to a special "aging process" and precision sandblasting. The result is an incomparable combination of textures and colors. Due to the natural origin of the wood, the structure and grain are different, which turns each pipe into a unique and unrepeatable work of art. Vauen craftsmen place a briar insert in the cup and another in the stem of the pipe to ensure the usual quality and smoking pleasure.
Wawen uses a light gray dot that he places on the mouthpiece of the pipe to indicate the extremely high quality of the briar used to make it.
