Description
La meridiana is the name of an old Cuban brand of cigars that once belonged to the Havana tabacco company. Forgotten for many years, it was only in 1997 that Villiger revived it as part of its portfolio. Produced in the oldest cigar factory in Nicaragua - Joya de Nicaragua S.A.
This is the first cigar in the Corona Grande format, and the impeccable craftsmanship ensures an even burn. Made entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco, the wrapper is aged for approximately four years to develop its distinctive flavor and color.
When smoked, there is a hint of coffee and earth, and a subtle peppery nuance plays in the background, adding a pleasant and balanced spiciness. A characteristic leather aroma develops, followed by an impressive nutty breath before finishing with powerful, bitter notes.
La meridiana surprises with an extremely good price-quality ratio. It has achieved distinctively high values in international tastings for years. It goes perfectly with smooth whiskey and rum.
