Our mission is to produce world-class vintages from our own vineyards in Armavir, Armenia. Karas, the winery’s name, means “amphora” in Armenian, a sacred clay vessel for winemaking used here for 6,000 years.

Karas Red Classic is a dry red wine from Armenia, part of the Classic Series of Karas Wines, located in the Armavir region, at the foot of Mount Ararat. This wine was created with the participation of world-renowned oenologist Michel Rolland and is among the most popular Armenian red wines.

• Vinification: Hand-picked grapes are selected before cold maceration. Fermentation takes place at 26-28 ° C for 20 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in tanks.
