The Symington family has been present in the Douro Valley for 130 years. Fourteen generations of the family have been involved in winemaking. They are the leading producers in the Douro Valley with 1,006 hectares of vineyards.

All of the Symington family vineyards are managed in accordance with the principles of integrated production and organic viticulture. They use intercropping (crops planted between the rows of vines) which has the following advantages: natural pest control, temperature regulation, soil and erosion control.

Dow's 10 Year Old Tawny Port is a refined Portuguese port wine, aged for an average of 10 years in oak barrels. It is produced by Symington Family Estates, one of the most respected families in the production of port wine in the Douro region of Portugal.
