Description
Introduction of Montecristo Open Regata to the market has been delayed for a while, yet it made it even more desired and widely expected by end-2009. Torpedo and classic of Montecristo N2 fans have been eagerly awaiting the moment when they would be able to touch its fascinating figural form. Regata borrows heavily from N2, differing in strength and length, which makes it a cigar of its own nature. Although it is relatively small in size, and in spite of the expectations that will be ‘campana’ type, or a small pyramid, in terms of flavour and intensity, it turned out to be surprisingly soft, producing flavours of sandalwood, leather and a divine, relaxing tobacco finish that are typical for the brand. It is a finale that cannot go undetected and forces smokers to grab their favourite Regata once they open the door of the humidor.
