Sustainability, family, tradition and expertise come together at Karas Wines, an Armenian winery located under the eternal gaze of Mount Ararat. Our mission is to produce world-class vintages from our own vineyards in Armavir, Armenia. Karas, the winery’s name, means “amphora” in Armenian, a sacred clay vessel for winemaking used here for 6,000 years.
Karas Wines is well aware of the future and the need for responsible leadership. Thanks to Armavir’s special terroir – favorable volcanic soil and a unique climate accompanied by thermal amplitude – Karas Wines applies a sustainable and organic philosophy in line with Biome practices to ensure that its vineyards are healthy and remain free from chemical additives.
Karas Reserve is a premium red wine from Armenia produced by Karas Wines – a modern winery located in the Armavir region, at the foot of Mount Ararat. This is a reserve wine, created with attention to detail and with the participation of world-renowned oenologist Michel Rolland.
