The Timiopoulos family has been farming and growing grapes in the village of Trilofos for generations. Apostolos Timiopoulos was the first to vinify the family vineyards while studying oenology. In 2005, he produced his first wine, called "Earth and Sky". He believes in sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention throughout the entire winemaking process.
Timiopoulos Winery is known for its expertise in producing wines from the Xinomavro grape variety. It is a red wine variety originating from Naoussa and is often called the "Greek Nebbiolo" due to its similar characteristics to the famous Italian variety. The winery focuses on showcasing the unique qualities of this grape in its wines.
The winery has a special focus on working with young vines. They believe that young vines have the potential to produce exceptional wines. By carefully managing these vines, they are able to produce wines that are vibrant, fresh and expressive.
