Carl Loewen Alte Reben Riesling is one of the most respected dry Mosel Riesling wines, known for its: exceptional minerality, high precision, complexity from the old vines, fresh style and pure fruit character and a light, elegant pale yellow color.

• Vinification: For Riesling “Alte Reben” grapes are harvested from vines that are at least 50 years old. Some of them were even planted in the first years after World War II.

The yield from these vineyards is only at a low ripeness of the grapes, but it is extraordinary and allows the winemaker's heart to leap for joy.

Using centuries-old production methods, the grapes are placed on the press and after pressing, they spontaneously ferment. Fermentation takes place for 100 days, with the yeast being removed just a few days before bottling.
